ROBOT CLEANING · PLANNING GUIDE

Plan vacuum and mop zones by floor type

Avoid a one button routine that treats every room the same.

01

Start with surfaces

A kitchen tile floor and a rug need different treatment. Mark carpet, delicate flooring and no mop areas before enabling water. Check the flooring manufacturer’s care guidance, especially for wood or sensitive finishes.

02

Sequence the work

Vacuuming before mopping can make a combined run more useful, but the best sequence depends on the device and floor. Create room specific routines rather than one whole building schedule. Test water level and pad condition on a small area first.

03

Watch the edges

Robots can miss corners, stairs and cluttered areas. Plan occasional manual cleaning rather than promising complete coverage. Review the first few runs and adjust boundaries based on where the machine actually travels.

QUESTIONS TO TAKE INTO A PROJECT

Before you choose a product

  • Which rooms must never be mopped?
  • What water level is suitable for the surface?
  • Which areas still need manual attention?

This guide is a planning concept, not a product recommendation or a promise of service availability. Site conditions and applicable requirements should be checked for each project.
